Nick and Eden Engagement| Craggy Gardens| Asheville, NC

Back in 2010, when we started Urban Bloom, we needed people that we could photograph to practice and build our portfolio. We knew these two beautiful "model like" human beings named Nick and Eden. They were always willing to be our subjects and would do about anything we would ask them to do. If there was something creative we wanted to try, they were always willing to help us out. They both hold a special place in our hearts. Especially since Eden was the flower girl in our wedding 14 years ago!!

They were the subjects of our original GIF we used as the focal point of our website in the early days of Urban Bloom. Check it out below. It's still one of our favorite GIFs we've ever created.

They were also our models for our t-shirts.

And finally this GIF.

Eden and Nick have been with us from the beginning and two of our most loyal people. (Even after we used a leaf blower as a wind machine in the freezing cold at one of their sessions.) We were so excited to hear that Nick proposed to Eden. Finally!!! We definitely wanted to make their engagement session something special and we suggested Craggy Gardens in Asheville, NC. It was a place we've always wanted to shoot and we knew that these two would be a perfect fit for that location.

If we were going to do Craggy Gardens we were going to do it right. We wanted it to be a sunrise session. We were photographing a wedding the day before their session so we had to get up at 4:00 am to make it to Asheville by sunrise. Getting up so early was not an issue at all because we were so exited about it!! Once we got there it was soooooooooo foggy!! It truly made for a whimsical look--that fit their style so well. We all hiked enchanted trails and laughed a lot on our way up to the top of the mountain. Once we got to the top of the mountain, it was so windy and foggy that you could barely see 10 feet in front of you. That didn't matter because it made for some pretty cool pics. Most of all we enjoyed spending time with these two wonderful people. It was such a beautiful place and such a special time--it felt like we were just going to Asheville to hang with two of the coolest people we know and we took some photos while we were there! Check out the photos below of two great people who are a huge part of who Urban Bloom is today!

Much love,

Joey and Brook
